Arinne Edelman
Educator. Community Organizer. Innovator.
Arinne began her career as a complexity management consultant, drawn to identifying solutions in partnership with employees empowered to collaborate to improve their organizations. She completed a fellowship with the Jewish Organizing Initiative learning how to build and strengthen communities. Arinne partnered with residents and community organizations to develop their individual and collective leadership, to strategize, to create effective campaigns, and, ultimately, to achieve measurable improvements.
Arinne received her B.A. in Psychology at Smith College and her M.Ed. from Cambridge College. Then, as now, she was fascinated by identifying opportunities for individual and community growth, and using educational tools to engage people's passions, talents, expertise and imagination, for transformational impact. Ultimately, Arinne learned the most from her mistakes, from "wicked questions," and from her experiences with inspiring mentors, students, staff, and colleagues.
From 2005-2017, Ms. Edelman applied insights gleaned from her education training and complexity science and community organizing background to her work with Jewish communities on multiple college campuses. Arinne was the recipient of several awards for her Jewish education and leadership during this period, including: The Israel Educator Award from the Israel Campus Roundtable and Consulate General of Israel to New England, The Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award from Hillel International, The Campus Transformation Award from Combined Jewish Philanthropies, and the Torchbearer Award from Synagogue Council of Massachusetts.
